Our Mission
The mission of the WFSC is to establish and encourage the instruction, practice and advancement of its members in all branches of skating based on regulations as established by the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA). To this end we:
1. Encourage and cultivate good rapport among club members
2. Promote education in the discipline of figure skating
3. Sponsor, produce and cooperate in the production of amateur ice shows, exhibitions
and competitions by the WFSC and its members
Our Club
The Winterhurst Figure Skating Club (WFSC) is a year-round independent 501(c)(3) Not For Profit skating program. We contain amateur skaters, both youth and adult, and non-skating adult members including parents, coaches, and judges. Our home ice is Serpentini Arena at Winterhurst in Lakewood, Ohio
found 10 minutes west of Cleveland.
We are one of the Cleveland area comprehensive clubs offering programs in Freestyle, Dance, Moves in the Field, power skating, on-ice choreography, USFS tests, off-ice conditioning. The WFSC offers fall, winter and spring Ice Schedules sold through ice contracts to our members and training continues in the summer at Serpentini purchasing ice time directly from the rink.
Our skaters range in age from young children through adults and enjoy skating for recreation, health and fitness, the challenge of learning something new, and the competitive side. Whether your skating goal is to stay fit, pass USFS testing levels, enjoy fun competitions, or to chase the olympic dream, the Winterhurst Figure Skating Club is a supportive community environment that celebrates all our skater's goals and successes.
